Villa de Meerle
Villa de Meerle was built in 1911 by one of Netherlands famous architects, Han van Loghem (1881-1940). Van Loghem belonged to a group of architects that called themselves the "New school of The Hague". Their way of building was very progressive for their time. Han van Loghem is famous for his design of "Betondorp" (literally: "concrete village") and "Tuinwijk" (literally "Garden neigbourhood") in respectively Amsterdam and Haarlem. He also built various villas, especially in Haarlem and Heemstede.
